3 MOPGA post-doc laureates for the I-SITE ULNE

On 18 June, the list of post-doctoral laureates “Make Our Planet Great Again” (MOPGA) was unveiled by Campus France. Of the 15 winners selected at the national level, 3 should be hosted in Lille laboratories and co-financed by I-SITE ULNE.

Make Our Planet Great Again is an initiative of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, launched on 1 June 2017 following the decision of the United States to leave the Paris Agreement on the climate. It is a call to researchers and teachers, entrepreneurs, associations and NGOs, students and all civil society to mobilize and join France to lead the fight against global warming.

Last March, I-SITE ULNE and the University of Lille announced that they would like to become involved in the MOPGA process by co-financing the hosting of international candidates selected for calls for projects requiring co-financing, notably the call ” Post-docs “.

Among the laureates announced this Monday, June 18, 3 out of the 15 selected at the national level should join Lille laboratories at the Unit of Catalysis and Solid Chemistry (UCCS) and Atmospheric Optics Laboratory (LOA):

  • Reshalaiti HAILILI (China) : Development of nanomaterials for hydrogen production form bioresources, UCCS
  • Souichiro HIOKI (Japan) : Characterizing the anisotropy of cloud reflectance in preparation for the 3MI sensor, LOA
  • Said LAAASIRI(Morocco) : NH3Loop: revisiting the process of ammonia production for the development of a green nitrogen based economy, UCCS

Another laureate wishing to join a laboratory in Lille (Physicochemistry of Combustion and Atmosphere Processes) is also on the complementary list:

Fethi KHALED (Tunisia) : Experimental techniques for measuring atmospheric reactivity of peroxy radicals and hydroxyl radical, PC2A
