Graduate School ‘Health’

The Graduate School ‘Health’ offers a unique training to excellence research on two major scientific themes: (1) diabetes, metabolic diseases and their complications; (2) Alzheimer and other neurodegenerative diseases.

It is open to talented Biologists, MD and PharmaD from local, national and international origin, to form the next generation research leaders for academia, industry and biotech.

Graduate School ‘Health’ assets rely on: 3 ERC, 2 French awarded laboratories of Excellence (EGID and DISTALZ), 2 Excellence scientific equipment (LIGAN and ImaginEX), a Centre of Excellence on Neurodegenerative Diseases (LiCEND) and EU Innovative Training Network (ITN) TASPPI (Targeted small-molecule Stabilisation of Protein-Protein Interactions). The Graduat School offers 2 Summer schools (one for each laboratories of excellence).

The Graduate School includes a Master of Biology and Health (M1 and M2) and a PhD English-language program, which is open to the whole scientific community including Postdoctoral fellowships, engineers, teachers and researchers. It gathers innovative practical courses on current cutting-edge technologies and approaches (e.g. next generation sequencing, systems biology and integrated bio-informatics), and interdisciplinary modules including human, economic and social science taught by local, national and European world-class experts in the field. All the students will achieve a mandatory mobility during their training in the international partners of the Graduate School. The Graduate School has partnered with socio-economic institutions such as Sanofi and Apteus.
