The objective of the Graduate School ‘Friendly Deep Tech’ is to train professionals with hybrid skills in different scientific and technological keys directly related to the entrepreneurial environment and society: data and artificial intelligence, internet of things, photonics, cognition and human-machine interaction.
Based on the awarded French laboratory of excellence and equipment labels, the course offers the following courses: data and artificial intelligence, internet of things, photonics, cognition and human-machine interaction. Social Sciences and Humanities are also involved as developments in the domain of technology-based approaches to cognition (interplay between technology and mental processes to study cognition) are central. Within this Graduate School, the Deep Tech Lab occupies a central place where the master-doctoral projects are conducted with research laboratories, engineer schools and companies. Punctuated by events such as the Deep Tech Show and Deep Tech Trophy, students strengthen their managerial skills, the taste of competing and creation of companies.
Graduate School ‘Friendly Deep Tech’ assets rely on: research teams of proven excellence in computer science, mathematics, physics, electronics and the cognitive sciences, as attested in particular by their participation in 6 excellence national French project (i.e. Cempi, Flux, LEAF, EXCELSIOR, FIT and IrDIVE), 5 ERC and 8 European projects (including Graphene and Quantum Flagships).
